Thanks for visiting my blog.  My name is Kent Wise.  I am a pastor of a four point charge in the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church.  I am married to Emily and we have four children-Annah (14), Grayson (11), Kage (4), and Kyle (3).  I am a second career pastor.  Before entering the ministry, I was in management. 

I enjoy reading, golfing, hiking, and spending time with my family.  I have a passion for evangelism and the small membership church.  I enjoy being part of the community and actively participate in various activities.  My ministry statement is simply: God placed me here to love somebody, and since I don’t know who that somebody is, I will have to love everybody in order to reach that special somebody.  In my lifes work, I have found relationships to be an important part of living.  Our relationship with God, our relationship with others, and our relationship with the marginalized in society. 

You might say that my ministry mission is to be a safe place where shame meets grace allowing God’s love to penetrate even the hardest of hearts.  God Bless you!!
